Never had this problem- I always landed in the water while starting or landing on the nimitz. :?

The 777-300 looks already really great and it is a nice addition. Currently several people are working on the base 777-200: http://gitorious.org/syd-s-flightgear-content/777-200er and trying to get it better. Maybe the things there will help also on the 777-300?

HHS, thank you for your words and information. I know the 772ER Git repository, and i´m doing a diff to do 773(ER) updated. I´ll talk with Sid about FDM fixes. What i can say is... the data to create the 773(ER) is referenced and all URL avaliable in FDM files and the future is open ;)

Skyop! I heard that! "I think the 767..." Hehehehe. Ok, ok... thank you for your feedback. The 767-300 FDM was updated (some updates...) and the -300ER FDM created. Maybe some problems around your relate is fixed now.

So true!!! I was messing around last night and I took off some grass at KSAC at a slow 80 knots and had flaps in 4th or 5th position and I kept on lifting without stall.

Off the Nimitz? Never tried that before.

80 knots??? Wow!

Well, we want to solve this problem... I´m looking for a detailed aproach speed table for B773... While i dont find it we can use a educated, and simplistic, guess:

General aviation airplanes are certificated to Vref airspeeds 30% above stall speed in the landing configuration. With the landing gear down and flaps deployed, this is known as 1.3 times Vso.
SOURCE : http://www.swaviator.com/html/issueJA05/BasicsJA05.html

Second the "Boeing - Airport Reference Code and Approach Speeds for Boeings Airplanes", the VRef for 773 is 149 knots, then the stall speed should be around

149 knots * 0.7 = 104.3 knots  :?:

And one note: the ""Boeing - Airport Reference Code and Approach Speeds for Boeings Airplanes"", seems to show approach speed to a full load situation. Because for B752, we have

Landing Speeds (1.3 Vs + 5) 122 @ 159,000 lbs. to 137 (max landing weight is 90 tonnes [metric] or approximately 198,000 lbs.)

And the "Boeing - Airport Reference Code and Approach Speeds for Boeings Airplanes" table shows 137 knots for landing. Ok, ok, there are alot variables in this function... but it´s a try to make it better :|

Actually, wouldn't it be 149/1.3? That gives 114.6, which seems realistic. I've always wanted a realistic 777 FDM, so we should actually try to make it realistic this time.

P.S. @ isix would it be possible for you to make an alpha release of the aircraft? I would like to test my livery designs to make sure that they work okay.

Just a thought... would it be possible to create the 777-300LR as well and include it in the 777-300ER package? And then, going even further, maybe the 777-200ER, the 777-300ER and the 777-300LR could all be made part of the default package in flightgear!!

Just a thought though...............

Cheers!

P.S. sorry, but I was just having an epiphany  :D
