Never had this problem- I always landed in the water while starting or landing on the nimitz.
The 777-300 looks already really great and it is a nice addition. Currently several people are working on the base 777-200: http://gitorious.org/syd-s-flightgear-content/777-200er and trying to get it better. Maybe the things there will help also on the 777-300?
