More progress on the fg1000. You now have a variant to use either the KAP140 or the GFC700. I really like the built in GFC700. The amphibious gear control needed changed in the fg1000 variant, so that was fixed as well. Now on to the electrical.

I'll consider it, but the wiki is not my friend. I can take the time to learn wiki editing or build the aircraft's electrical system. :)

@Hooray, my son just schooled me on wiki and I have to admit it isn't exactly rocket science. I was a bit embarrassed by how easy he made it look. Even though I have been in related businesses my entire adult life and should know better, I am getting old and changing into one of those people that need help from the help desk because their computer doesn't work and the first question they ask is, "Did you turn it on? or "Is it plugged in?".

I need to do a few articles on a couple different projects. Maybe when I get to some better milestones I can do that.

Well, instead of documenting my work I opted to just continue developing. For any continuing discussion please see:

1. AFAICT, it is only available for FG next, the alpha/beta channel, aka 2020.4... it is not available for the FG LTS which is currently 2020.3.18...

2. it has been 2 years since the last post in this topic and the post immediately above your's points to the proper place for discussions...

3. AFAIK, it will be available as part of the existing craft, not a separate craft, which would be quite silly, when it is ready for public consumption... there is no timeline available...

FWIW: why do so many people look for links to manually download craft with instead of selecting one of the 900+ craft variants already available in the launcher? i don't get it...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Not officially, but the current development version has been tested and worked fine on 2020.3. Enough that we changed the minimum version requirement to 2020.3.18.

The download links in the referred to post were no longer valid, I just now updated it though.
Also here it is.

That's great! Do you use a different engine and propeller model for the 172S? The 172P is 160hp/2700 rpm redline, while the 172S is 180hp/2400 rpm redline (IIRC after many years).

Yes, we did use the 180 engine and changed the prop. We also have the 180 engine available on the amphibious and float. Although you can use the 160 on those if your a glutton for punishment.

The fuel injection system is still in the process for it though. I misspoke slightly, this is modeled as a 172sp. The interior is model fairly accurately, using the fg1000. The exterior is using the same 172p model I don't know what the differences are between the exterior of the p and sp.
