progressing... I have pictures of an early model of the SF50. Still far from complete, but this is some eye candy should you be wondering how I am progressing with it. I have the basic texture, not the final, and basic just about everything else. What i don't have is an actual SF50 FDM, no animations, no lights. I'll be working on those next.

Developing is slow, but progressing. After many painful hours of animating the gears, flaps, aileron, elevators, I've finally got them to work the way I want them to. But not perfect yet. But got them working, and for me that is great.

I have a general outline of everything done. I have a very basic cockpit with the help of the zkv1000. If you want to give a fly in its alpha stage, I don't have any problems with it. Just PM and I'll send you the model.

I am still working on the textures, still working on the cockpit and trying to model it better, still getting rid of unwanted polys, trying to find good sounds for small jets, learning about shaders and chrome effects, learning about nasal.

My project is open to everyone should you be interested in helping out.

I am off to see the world! Won't be back for the longest time. I will be at KJFK and then at KSFO for the next, well, until I get settled in one of those two places. So, this poor SF50 is gonna be left behind, sorry for those of you who were following me on this. I really appreciated your support! Maybe in the near future I can finish it, but in the meantime, this thread is gonna have to close down.

best,
Zexe

Does anybody know what happened or happens with Cirrus Vision Jet simulation in FlightGear? Just no interest or is it banned somewhat? It looks there were some activities here around and on french fg forum for some time ago? Since then no trails on the forums or git?

Good day concordelover,

whether it's intentional or language barrier, your question comes off a bit rude considering FG is an all-volunteer project.

As far as I know, there is currently no SF50 for FlightGear.

If you want to try making it, the POH (Pilot Operating Handbook) is available online, e.g. here https://flightsimcoach.com/wp-content/u ... 50-POH.pdf although unfortunately it doesn't seem to include the system information.

Have a good day

not to mention that Zexe's last visit was on 2012 Nov 25 and they specifically mentioned. back in 2011 (5 posts above this one) that their work would be shutting down until they got settled near KSFO or KJFK... apparently they haven't gotten settled or something else happened...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
