The ticket system is not for aircraft. It does say on the page "To report issues with aircraft, please try to contact the maintainer of the aircraft."

None the less, I'll address all the c172p related tickets and try to clear them out.

As a former aircraft owner, I was puzzled at first by the subject. Did someone want to simulate aircraft maintenance, including a squawk list? e.g. "Alternator acting up intermittently. Getting some shimmy on the nosewheel. Passenger side headset jacks not working. Please check left aileron flutter."

I mean, it would make FlightGear more realistic: you'd go to fly the 172, and find that the battery wasn't strong enough to crank the prop, so you'd try charging it for 8 hours, realise it was dead, and virtually order a new one from Aircraft Spruce. Then you'd discover it wasn't the battery but the alternator, and get that replaced, waiting for a slot to open up in the maintenance shop. 60 days and $1,500 later, the sim would let you actually fly. :)

Ah, yes, now that would be a real steep learning and entry curve.
But project infrastructure funding would probably get quite a boost :-)
(It would certainly also mean rapid increase in 'experimental' category model department....) 8)

That's quite an idea, David - then you'd have a motive not to run your oil sump dry (you can just do that now, just extinguish the fire, click the repair button for the burned fuel lines, go fly ! )

Don't forget the seized prop, damaged crankshaft, and $30-50K engine overhaul (per engine) plus whatever damage you sustained in the forced landing. :)
