Pressurization System

Postby scarymovie » Sat Feb 04, 2023 7:27 pm

Hello everyone. May I know if there is a guide on how to implement a pressurization system like calculating oxygen system pressure, cabin altitude, cabin rate of change, cabin pressure differential as well as landing field elevation logics? Or probably there are some aircraft that already have this implemented for reference?

Thank you.

The 757 has a rudimentary cabin pressurization system. There's no documentation, and honestly I don't remember too well the details in how I set it up, but I know that it works entirely in terms of cabin altitude; it allows both manual and automatic outflow valve control, which is selectable with the button on the overhead panel; pressure is supplied by the bleed air system from the engines or APU.

You can find the entire system in 757-200/Nasal/cabin-pressure.nas and 757-200/Systems/pressurization.xml. The system in the 747-8 is similar if not identical.

Thank you tikibar.

I was able to include both .xml and .nas and it works well. I believe I will need to change the logics to fit it into my aircraft. Not sure about that part though. By any chance do you know how cabin temperature is being calculated?

I'll be writing one for the MD-11 soon fwiw.

I'll share what I come up with.

Kind Regards,

It's not. Put on a coat if it gets cold. 8)
