IAE engine idle thrust

Elaborate please. I can't do a nothing if you don't tell me details.

You need apply some brakes to not accelerate when 2 engines taxiing on idle thrust with IAE engines. This not occurs with CFM. Brake overheat on long taxi in warm days on aircrafts withiut brake fans are reported.

EDIT :

7500 on A320 family, 75% CFM, 25% V2500
No preference really, both have their advantages/disadvantages.
CFM, quicker starting, lower idle thrust, higher reliability BUT, higher fuel and oil consumption.
V2500, more fuel/oil efficient, more effective reverse thrust BUT slow starting, high idle (more braking during taxi) and seemingly more problematical.

At least in MY experience.

That not enough info to model it on, I will have to consult proper resources on exactly.

Hi all,

The use of keyboard numpad to change cockpit view works fine on GNU-Linux but not on MS Windows (on the same computer).
I cannot figure why?
Is there a workaround or it's a known and definitive not solvable issue?

Thanks in advance.

Check that you don't have the keyboard mode enabled on Windows. (Ingame menu->A320-family->Aircraft Config)

Check the NumLock... it might be initialized differently.

@merspieler thanks
but only keynum 5 (Show Aft Pedestal View) works

Update
Been spending recently quite a bit of time on the FLYBYWIRE system addressing numerous issues and updating it for the new FDM.
- Fixed various jerks in extreme inputs
- Improved stability and improved response
- Fixed wrong behavior over 33 degrees bank, now it can be held with bank proportional to sidestick up to 67 degrees
- Fixed overspeed bank behavior
- Fixed surfaces "flapping" in some rapid input situations
- Fixed jerk when switching between some modes of FBW
- Many people including pilots said my FBW was a little to much "on rails" and rigid. That is now fixed, its a little more smooth and natural

Even more coming soon. Lots of my effort was spent on roll, pitch and yaw still need changes before I upload to 3D branch git.

Sorry for slowly. My health has been very bad, I was in emergency room once and almost a second time, so I've had not so much time for FGFS. But I promise I am still working on this amazing simulation!

Kind Regards,
Josh

It is nice to hear that You are OK. Do not stress, overload, only relax and all will be OK. A320 can wait, health is more important.

Further significant enhancements have been made.

- Huge refinement to pitch law
- Way better overspeed law, with all logic as per FCOM
- Correct behavior of spoilers in direct law
- Correct various mistakes

More to come. I've also been looking at figuring out how to detect the weather caused overspeed and ignore it.
I really need to wait until I am home next week to work on the C* load factor integration in the pitch law, as well as some other behaviors like aircraft stops to hold pitch over 33 degrees bank, as I need my joystick to properly test that stuff, and this laptop I have with me barely can run FGFS.

Kind Regards,
Josh

first let me congratulate all the developers of the a320, it is a perfect mod and very well developed even though it is free. sorry for my english, my english is bad
I've flown the a320 for several hours. I made a list of things that could be improved, or things that maybe can be mobilized with other mods
Sids and stars
top of decent and TOC
managed ascent and descent
that the jetway can be connected to the plane
be able to enter the exact number of passengers and that this moves the weight and cent of gravity
enable all radar systems
be able to put on and take off covers and pins
enable the doors and access to the external panels and that these are clickable from the outside in walk mode to be able to walk around
there are no external lights that are integrated into the plane to illuminate its surroundings and that are used by the ground crew
It would be great if the wings had the flexibility you see in real life
It would be great if the cockpit seats could be moved, inclining those of the pilot, co-pilot and the two auxiliary seats
put an I-pad
include a QNH
have a view of the flight attendants, to be able to manage the passenger cabin
be able to put catering on the back door
enable cleaning vehicle
develop more ground vehicles
more airlines, I would like them to include one called interjet
landing gear down for gravity sistems
alternate flight plan in MCDU
be able to open and close the cab windows
top panel radius
cabin doors
rear cab compartments
improve the ECAM status system
wipers
MCDU-maintenance
be able to adjust oil quantity for motors and hydraulics
be able to adjust the battery charge
enable wing emergency doors
evacuation slides
more ground connections
DECEL
automatic calculation of v1, vr and v2 in the MCDU
I know the list is long, but this would improve the simulator a lot, maybe you can use the list as a list of objectives.

I congratulate you again, and I hope you improve, if something on the list already exists please let me know, or if there are mods that can help me, or if someone knows how I can improve the a320
