Cold and dark instrument stuff has been mostly added to captains and first officers panels, gauges will freeze where they are and flags get displayed. Some things are spring loaded to off/hidden/0 without power but not all. Some needles will just stop.

On topic again it took half a year and one episode of "air crash investigation" to understand, what is meant by Josh with "aerodynamically operated flight controls". ;-)

Quite an unusal setup, but seems to work for a few decades.

It's quite an interesting system to model!

Anyone have instructions on how to takeoff & fly this MD-80? FGCP panel doesn't seem to work.

FGCP panel it works correctly like in the real! :)
I always do the FCS/Autopilot first so testing other stuff is easier :)

Check instructions for the real (Or use MaddogX P3D tutorial)

This is a very impressive development well done. Though Im having trouble with the installation. Tried it several times, removing the master in the name, and put it in the correct file pathway flightgear / username / aircraft org.flightgear.fgaddon.stable_2020 / Aircraft. But every time I load into the game its nowhere to be found. Is this a fault on my part or just an outdated model?

Hello.
Don't put in fgaddon folder. Place in %username%\FlightGear\Custom Aircraft

Foldername should be "MD-80" and immediately inside the files. Should now work. If not, then add the "Custom Aircraft" folder to your add-on aircraft in settings.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Haven't had a chance to check out the more recent versions until today. I'm noticing that when engaging the autothrottle during takeoff, it does not advance the EPR to the takeoff setting, but instead immediately enters CLMP mode. I didn't think it was supposed to switch to CLMP until power was set? Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,
I did get another report of something being up with it. I'll check it soon.

CLAMP engages at 60kts. I suggest spooling up to about 1.4 EPR only very briefly, then engaging ATS.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Thanks! Even if I hold the brakes while spooling up to 1.4 EPR and then engage the autothrottle, I still have the same problem.
