Hi Isaak,
Thanks kindly!

Also, improved the appearance of many switches in the VC.

Something else new:

Yes the IRS switching to AUX works now. In this case IRU 1 has failed so the captains instrumentation is unavailable:

Depressing the IRS switch moves it to the AUX.

PS: I've just noticed the taxi ASI needs to be fixed it seems to show as avail even though the IRU is not aligned... is now fixed but doesn't show in the screenshot. You know what I mean

Kind Regards,
Josh

Hello.
I've done some basic coffins corner aerodynamics and high altitude effect modelling. Stall at cruise should be more realistic now in addition the indications of the PFD and FCC computations have been updated for this. Please beware in the thinner air the plane will stall at lower AoA! See PFD for indications.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Hello.

Image

NAV RAD page starts to work... slowly... will be working on the autotuning and manual tuning from here, then the LOC only mode will be added.

Also added button "7" to go to the MCDU view, of course this only works if keyboard flight control mode is OFF.

And.... fixed the button saying "RAD NAV" when it should have been "NAV RAD"... oops lol

Kind Regards,
Josh

Some more new stuff:

Image

You can now use TRU heading on the PFD(s)
all though please note, that the autopilot system does not respect true heading for whatever reason.
So that is why we are level at 190 magnetic as far as the AFS knows.
the mag/true is also captain and first officer side independent, I'll be splitting the altimeters as well soon (but I will likely add an option to sync alts + minimums selectors)
In addition, TRK is no longer shown on the PFD - ever. ND only.

Image

I have purposefully yaw'd the aircraft to demonstrate the following:
the heading bug deviation will always be centered when the aircraft should be wings level to keep the orientation, regardless of if that is heading, track, and magnetic or true being displayed.
Essentially, it shows the "equivalent" magnetic heading in every mode.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Also you can now reposition the MD-11 in-sim without the canvas and other things breaking. Sorry that it took me what 4 years to figure out how to do that?

ADF, VOR, and ILS can now be set via MCDU. All the input combinations are accounted for, you can set just freq, just course (if a few is set), or both at once.

The F12 pop up can no longer change nav radios. It will be changed to a Comm Panel 2D panel later.

And this really make me want to do the Custom ND sooner but can't yet... need more things first. Also auto tuning is not implemented yet until the flightplan manager exits.

Josh
