It might be that the tail rotor is on the other side than it is on most helicopters. I'm not 100% sure though.

That shouldn't matter. When I twist right, the heli yaws left. No other model I've used does that. Does it work OK for you, Johan?

I have not tried. My success rate with helicopters are even worse than with tail draggers. My low fps might have something to do with that, not to mention lack of persistence. :roll:

I downloaded again from the Dropbox link in the first post, and the yaw is still backward on a joystick.

I have updated the fdm file on my end.

did you delete all previous versions before installing the current version?

here is what the code should look like for the tail rotor in the fdm titled uh60.xml

Code: Select all
<rotor
    name="tail"
    x="-7.229" y="-.2753" z="1.534"
     nx="0.0" ny="0.94" nz="-0.34"
    fx="1" fy="0" fz="0"
    ccw="1"
    maxcollective="7" mincollective="-10"
    diameter="3.3528"
    numblades="4"
    chord="0.3"
    weightperblade="20"
    relbladecenter="0.5"
    dynamic="0.7"
    rpm="800"
    rellenflaphinge="0.0" delta3="0" translift="0" delta="0.1"
    pitch-a="10"
    pitch-b="15"
    airfoil-lift-coefficient="7.95"
    airfoil-drag-coefficient0="0.005"
    airfoil-drag-coefficient1="0.10"
    incidence-stall-zero-speed="10"
    incidence-stall-half-sonic-speed="5.5"
    lift-factor-stall="0.08"
    stall-change-over="3"
    drag-factor-stall="2.0"
    notorque="0"
    taper="1"
    number-of-segments="5"
    number-of-parts="4"
    rel-len-blade-start="0.33"
    rotor-correction-factor="0.9">
    <control-input axis="/controls/flight/rudder" control="COLLECTIVE" invert="false" src0="-1.0" src1="1.0" dst0="-1.6" dst1="1.6"/>
    <control-input axis="/controls/engines/engine[0]/throttle" control="COLLECTIVE" src0="0.1" src1="1.0" dst0=".0007" dst1="-.00055"/>
  </rotor>

the "invert=" near the end of the code needs to be false yours is probably true if you are still having the issue it is a quick fix you can open this code in any text editor

This looks so cool... well done.

That makes it so much more aggravating that my download isn't working; whenever I try to unzip it to my aircraft folder, it gets through 98% of all the files, except for 2 or 3. These give me error messages like "incorrect parameter - error 0x80070057"; if I click skip, the download proceeds normally, but then when I open it in flightgear I get a freaky blue and green polygon airplane shape. Any idea what the problem is? The troublemaking file looks like its interior:WO:windows

interior:WO:windows.ac is not a valid filename on windows.

Its a very old and not well put together model. It would be easier to start again than to try and fix it.
If you want to fly a 260", you could try this :-
