More seriously this is a screenshot of my walkabout the Cessna, my head is missing & there's an odd "plane of shadow" horizontally through the aircraft. It also blocks the bottom of the screen in the cockpit view! Any idea whats up with this?

if that is the default c172p, use that menu at the top when in-sim, and click on the "Cessna 172" tab... when it opens, select the craft options and in there turn off the 2D shadow if it is enabled... maybe toggle it on and back off if it is already off... see if that helps with the shadow...

the thing about the walker's head sounds like something else that will have to be looked into if the problem can be replicated by someone else...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I'm pretty sure the head of the walker is removed if you are in an internal view. So maybe you were in an internal view and moved the camera position outside the aircraft?
