Low FPS on a really good computer

Postby SP-NTX » Fri Jan 29, 2021 12:25 pm

Hi, I was recently wondering about the amount of FPS in Flightgear.
I have 4 games
1. XPlane11 max settings and it consistently holds 60FPS, but I don't like it.
2. FSX max settings and 60FPS, but I don't like it either
3. BFV Maximum settings and keeps 50 FPS
4. Flightgear Such medium settings and 20 FPS max.
Is there any way to increase FPS while maintaining quality? I care about quality the most, but also about FPS

Hello,

You might start by giving the details of your “ really good computer “ and what are the exact settings you are using in FG ( you can provide screenshots of the different menu settings )
The informations you gave above are not useful for helping you with your problem .

I see you are using Reshade. You may want to try turning that off?

With i5-2550K at 3.5 GHz and GTX 750 Ti I had very similar fps in content rich sceneries like Innsbruck, or default Frankfurt. On really dense sceneries like Hongkong or Boston, fps was 10 fps. Over deep blue sea and clear sky there was 60fps in any aircraft.
