Hi,
For a while now I'm trying to setup my configuration with multiple displays, attached to one computer. XML is not my strong-point, I'm still exploring FG and results I get are neither predictable nor reliable. I could really use some help.
What I would like:
- When FG is started, it spans over 3 displays horizontally, with proper viewing-angles.
- On the wishlist is to use my laptop later on as instrument panel.
I am aware that there are various ways to go about this. Either start one instance of FG or multiple instances for example. Please help me set this up the way is most appropriate for my configuration, which is:
- Linux Mint 18.1 Cinnamon 64bit
- Kernel: 4.4.0-53-generic x86_64
- Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Hawaii PRO [Radeon R9 290]
- Mobo: Gigabyte model: Z97N-Gaming 5 v: x.x Bios: American Megatrends v: F5 date: 09/19/2015
- Quad core Intel Core i5-4460 (-MCP-) cache: 6144 KB
- 8GB RAM
- Saitek Yoke, Rudder and 3-Lever Quadrant
- 3 displays, side-by-side, each 1920x1080, [22"]|23"|[22"]
Flightgear version: 2017.2.1
EHHV is the airfield next door, so I usually start there. The Katana DA20 is my preferred plane (the student plane used here).
I got it to work, sort of, when I start FG with a Cessna 172P, FG opens on all three screens. But when I choose the DA20, it only opens on the middle screen.
Preferrably I would like to start from scratch with this configuration. There's currently no configuration that cannot be discarded.
Looking forward to get this up and running... I mean flying..
