Aircraft shadow problem

Postby camileck » Thu Jul 27, 2017 9:37 pm

Hi, I have been playing FG since 2 days and IMO the whole idea of the project is amazing :) I can run the game at about 45 fps with ALS and options presented on screenshot. However I experience strange problem. When I reset the game (File -> reset) the shadow is always just under the aircraft (obviously not being displayed correctly) (screenshots). Issue does not occur when I launch the game (during first flight after launching) but always when I reset it using menu option or keyboard shortcut. Any clues what may be the reason?

Ubuntu 16.04
FG 2017.2.1
GeForce 940m (proprietary driver ver - 375.66)

Don't reset - FG can't do this properly, there's more things broken all across the renderer if you do (light will never change,...)

Thank you for the suggestion! Now when I am practising approach and landing I just don't pay attention to shadow underneith aircraft but when I want to go for a trip I do not use reset feature to have graphics looking as good as possible.

Another option other than ignoring it when you have to reset, in the options you can shut it off.

Wonderful, thank you. I'll recompile and see if it works for me. This was a long standing issue and I am really happy to see it get fixed.
