good day to all, bring the issue of runway lights (again) but I believe there is now something different, like everyone I have no lights at night or in bad weather and because I am obliged to always fly by day, I'm not the best for the computer and tell me that Copile something if I remember is something called SimGear or something and I have not known how to do not understand what they say in the wiki, which also happened to me makes some days it was flying in "Santiago de Chile" and curiously at dawn me some squares that were equivalent to the runway lights and they did not do anything to solve her problem came after I realized that only happened at a specific angle but it does not I will always be able to fly at an angle and more specific in approach, has anyone already been able to solve the problem without being so complicated? antemeano thanks for the help. my version is 2.10.0.3 have a Blast AMD Radeon 8240 AMD dual core processor 2500 1.4GHz E1 something up but I run good simulator. I leave some images be they say. thank you

OK, lets pile on at the risk of this being a known issue.
I was just getting ready to report this but wanted to check here first.

I just noticed in 3.3 that this is happening with all lights at night. In my case it is caused by changing the view perspective of the pilot. At one angle it works fine, at a few degrees to the left the lights disappear. It happens from both the planes heading being changed or just the pilots perspective,

Work in progress... (I was on to this with Stuart, but Stuart had more important things to do like fixing the effect system driven crashes, so the C++ side of this has been on hold for the time being).

Thank You.

I had pretty much decided not to report it as it was 3.3 and I am to the point were I don't point out anything in head. But I see this is a long running issue according to the versions users reporting are running on.
Is there any git info or other discussion on this?
I might take a look and see if I can find it, but I would need a little more info. At least where in the C code to look (if anyone knows).

So is this related to the rain clipping problem?

No, not at all.

The good news is that I have a solution which renders both directional and non-directional lights nicely using the same shader. The bad news is that I need an additional line into simgear, so I need to wait for Stuart to okay and commit the patch before I can address the shader-side changes.

No, 3.2 wont have it. Only current GIT.

I'm not sure, but I think you might be able to add it to 3.2 pretty easily.

I also don't know for sure all the files that were effected with change, but I think it was probably commits

the easiest option might very well be getting a nightly snapshot from the build server ...
