ok, so where did you get it from? did you download it using the internal flightgear launcher or did you download it manually from a hanger somewhere?

quite a few of those large craft are very "heavy" in the graphics department... there are many folks who cannot fly them because of the graphics "weight"... there's also problems caused to others in multiplayer with lowend systems when these craft fly into range... their systems crash or go unresponsive until the craft is out of range...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

It is from the default hangar but I think at this point it is just the length of the flight plan because the plane does shorter flights just fine.

can you share that flightplan? have you tried it in less "heavy" craft? eg: UFO or maybe the c172p with fuel-freeze enabled

I have just found a interesting morsel of info' on AMD graphics that ULPS (Ultra Low Power State) which is enabled permamently can be an issue with these cards causing stuttering and loss of FPS, but you can disable easily look at this link:https://community.amd.com/thread/176003 hope this helps others? i started with NVIDIA GT730... they're pretty inexpensive these days... maybe $30US... depending on location and craft, was flying with 10 - 30FPS on average... there are better GPUs for less than $100US that should fit and work just fine...

The GTX750 is still a fairly decent card so if you can get a hold on one of them I'd recommend it.

I use the radeon drivers shipped with debian and it works smoothly with great performance.
The only issue i have is missing volumetric grass.

In agreement with Erik. I have an Asus Gtx750 ti oc with 2gb ram which does a good job with FlightGear. I imagine you can find a low profile version at a reasonable cost. You might find a 4gb version which would be better. A still better card is a GTX 960 4gb.

I used GTX750 2GB 3 years with FG. Performance was good, only in areas with extensive use of overlay grass was fps under 15. Without overlay shader I had 20 fps.
