simulating flying in IMC/thick clouds

Postby Alice » Thu Feb 10, 2011 11:53 am

Hi,

I'd like to simulate flying through thick clouds, so that pilots need to use instruments. I defined overcast for layer one and two, but can't get rid of the "dividing horizon line" between the two layers, meaning that theres always a space without clouds between layer one and two.

How can I simulate just thick clouds without having that division between the layers?

Thanks
Alice

Use fog/haze. Set the visibility to anywhere between 3/4 of a mile to 3 miles for the desired effect, depending on which category of IFR you're looking for. Remember to convert to meters before you make your input, or you will probably find flying to be impossible!
