flightgear won't log

I can't log in Flightgear under linux. Flightgear exists with the message:
The FGLogger logging system, via the '/logging/log/filename' property, was asked to write to 'fg_log.csv', however this path is not authorized for writing anymore for security reasons. Please choose another location, for instance in the $FG_HOME/Export folder (/home/username/.fgfs/Export).

Output of
Code: Select all
var path = getprop("/sim/fg-home");
print("Your $FG_HOME is at: ", path);

show:
Your $FG_HOME is at: /home/username/.fgfs

the property /logging/log/filename is set to fg_log.csv.

Flightgear 2018.2.2.

the answer is quite simple and right there in your post... set the file name of the log to /home/username/.fgfs/Export/fg_log.csv

basically what has happened is that without the path in the filename, the system is trying to write the file somewhere it is not allowed to... since it cannot do that, it is rightfully exiting in a controlled manner...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

something should have changed... eg: the error message
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
