Connecting two computers, using generic protocol, connecting with Matlab?

Interfacing Simulink w/ FG 2017

Postby js4444 » Thu Jul 06, 2017 11:21 pm

Is it possible to interface the FG Simulink blocks with FG 2017.2.1? For example, I'm trying to use the "Pack net_fdm Packet for FlightGear" block to create UDP packets to send to FG 2017, but the "FlightGear Version" parameter for that block does not have an option for FG 2017 (the most recent FG version listed for that block parameter is 2016.1).

Thanks in advance for your time,
Jordan

It should be. It is quite possible that you might have to tweak something though.

In any case, have you taken a look on some of the wiki articles? I do not know how much help it would be, but I guess Interfacing FlightGear (perm) could be a good starting point. You could also search for simulink on the wiki and the forum.

Selecting 2016.1 should work fine. The interface hasn't changed in years ;-)
Just make sure you check the generated .bat file as the paths may be different on your system. Also note that there was/is a bug in the script. See our wiki for details on that: http://wiki.flightgear.org/MATLAB
