Help with logging data not working...

Postby Kikokou-san » Fri Jun 09, 2017 10:51 am

Good morning everybody,

I'm trying to log data into a .csv since yesterday without any success.

I read the wiki (http://wiki.flightgear.org/Logging_properties) as well as the few forum posts I found on this subject, and I tried both :
the method of the debug menu while FG is running,
the method of the log-config.xml file, with relative and then absolute paths.

In both case, I have just nothing : no .csv file created anywhere.

Do you have any idea of where it can come from ? Might it be linked to the way I close FG (clicking aggressively on the red cross  ) ?

I tried to uninstall and reinstall FG (2.1, Windows 10 64 bits)) but the result is the same.

I also tried to reinstall FG outside the Programs folder and by the way, even when selecting another folder, the install wizard installs FG in the C:Programs folder...

Thank you

In the latter case, have you made sure to use the --config switch like for example below?
Code: Select all
fgfs --config=log-config.xml

Also, have you looked in your $FG_HOME directory where other logs usually ends up?
