Sending GPS position (NMEA) to bluetooth port on a Mac

Hi there,
I have a use case of FlightGear that is a bit out of band, but your help will be much appreciated.

I am the developper of a real world (no pun intended) EFB for VFR pilots (more info here).

In order improve my testing, I am after a simulator based configuration... And I use a Mac.

I have found this that explains how to do it on linux, but I wonder if someone implemented this on a Mac.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Actually, after identifying the correct device file descriptor in /dev and finding the right field to enter the options it just worked.
Really easy.

yes, this is one of the most common use-cases - there are other charting applications that uses fgfs for testing purposes, because it supports streaming NMEA data, which will look like a conventional GPS to most programs
