Is there a command line that can be inserted to automatically activate radio volumes for Nav

fgrun is not the launcher being used any more...

even so, i'm not aware of anything to set the volume knobs... i'm sure there is a property in the property tree for this but have no clue what it would be... sadly, i (still) cannot run FG without my system powering off in the most harshest of manners... second machine is even having problems compiling FG now :(
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

@wkitty, that sounds like you have an issue with your cooling system -- try new thermal paste and make sure your fan is operating.

@Robertfm:
/instrumentation/nav[0]/volume to 1 and /instrumentation/nav[1]/volume to 1

Kind Regards,
Josh

I have found Nav/ and Nav [1]/ in property in Debug but when I click on either it just opens up another page. How do I actually alter them.

In this case this are no directories. Thats properties inside of FG.
You can set properties also at the start of FG with:
Code: Select all
fgfs.exe --prop:/instrumentation/nav[0]/volume=1 --prop:/instrumentation/nav[1]/volume=1

Or you set it in the launcher on the 'Settings' tab under 'Additional Settings'.
Code: Select all
--prop:/instrumentation/nav[0]/volume=1
--prop:/instrumentation/nav[1]/volume=1

EDIT:
If you are allready in sim, you can open the property browser with '/' and navigate to the property.
In this case click on 'instrumentation' then on 'nav' and then on 'volume'.
In the bottom line you see a text field where now the current value of volume is.
Delete the field and insert '1' and press 'Return' two times.
You will see that the property change the value.

That's great I know how to do the second option, as I had to add code to open browser MAP. Thanks

It now shows Volume 1 (unspecified) So I guess I should now hear something. Currently flying so should know in about 20 NM. It usually kicks in about 28NM, where radios did work.

Hi Josh,
Sorry to return to this thread. The sound has been working fine all this time, today it's just stopped working even on the planes where it worked fine. The code is still there and it's still correct in property tree.

Any ideas

Found the problem: Some how several settings had turned off. I switched them back on and it worked again. No idea how they turned off, I haven't touched sound settings.

Weird Avionics sound slider in Sound Configuration had defaulted to off again today. Anyone know why it would do this. At least I know why I lose the sound.

how are you exiting the sim when you're finished? are you using [ESC](multiple times till the exit dialog pops up) followed by [ENTER] or F10->File-Quit or some other method??

I click on quit at the bottom of file menu, which brings up another confirmation box and click on that and it goes off.
