FGRun Crashing

Postby Ineedhelp » Mon Mar 30, 2009 6:25 pm

Whenever I open FGRun it crashes. It load the UI of it but doesn't display the planes in the little 3D view thing and doesn't load completely, once it does, it crashes. Any ideas how to fix it? I already reinstalled.

Not with this little information...
Do you see any error messages? What do you mean with "crash", is the window closed?

It brings up the usual Windows error "fgrun.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Nothing else, not even in the terminal.

Ok, it appears to only be at the aircraft page. I deleted my "fgrun.prefs" and the XML in my application data and it worked until the aircraft screen where I just clicked on the Citation X and it crashed.

When I hit the first "click here" it says this:
Code: Select all
AppName: fgrun.exe    AppVer: 0.0.0.0    ModName: ialmgicd.dll
ModVer: 6.14.10.4342    Offset: 00014f0b

So, any ideas? It's so annoying, I seem to be the candidate for crashing, first FG just crashes, not FGRun so I can't even fly the Aerostar!

- Is this a totally new problem, i.e. were you previously able to run fgrun without experiencing this problem?
- have you modified or enhanced the standard FlightGear installation in any way?
- have you installed any additional aircraft and/or scenery?
- does this also happen with a fresh install of fgrun or FlightGear (use a different location) just using the default settings?

Also, please note that you should generally be able to use FlightGear without fgrun, too.

Yes, totally new, well, it started when I just installed that Rallye MS-893 plane from the aircraft modeling forum.

Not in a way that would make it happen. I've only fooled with the aircraft themselves.(In 1.9 I disabled the black box, but that's all.)

Yep. But I uninstalled the Rallye because I thought it might've been the problem. I also installed the Nome, New York, and Tokyo tiles.

Yes. Even a completely clean install which I just did earlier.(Deleted my app data "Flightgear.org" folder and my two program files.(I first installed in "C:\Program Files" but I changed it to just "C:\" because it's easier to get to to install aircraft.))

After asking on the IRC I did get this from my error.

I did install a fresh version on the default directory and have not added any aircraft or scenery.
