fgrun doesn't find any aircraft

Postby Christopher72 » Tue Nov 10, 2015 7:17 pm

I had installed 3.4 and after that fgrun will not find any aircraft in the path when I start flightgear.
It lets me select them in the aircraft page and shows every single one.
But when I click start it stops with an error the aircraft is not in any path.
I have tried removing all of flightgear and reinstalling.
I tried reinstalling fgrun but nothing.

Running on windows 7

Any suggestions?

I have two paths when I look at FGRun
C:/Users/.../Downloads/airplanes
C:/Users/.../Documente/FlightGearAircraft

It must see them as the 'select an aircraft' wizard shows all my aircraft.

quick update;
I went through each screen of the wizard and hit 'restore default settings' and now it starts the Cessna 172 but nothing else.
Strange.

Try renaming those folders to Aircraft.
P.S. and make sure there aren't any folders in those called aircraft, or else fg by default will use those instead. I learned that the hard way. :|

It does work after I made a new directory named Aircraft and moved the aircraft there. :-D

Thanks

Great! FGRun can sometimes have some strange ideas when it comes to directories--if it finds a folder within your aircraft folder called "Aircraft" then it will automatically use that as the main directory--which is the reason I one time had the same problem as you, and reinstalled about twice. When I could have just deleted that one folder...
We live and learn.
