Flightgear Play Windows Will Not Open

I have Windows 8 and I think that is the problem. It worked while I was using Windows 7 but right now it does not when the only thing I changed was Windows 8.

When I hover over the logo with my mouse I can see it but when I click it will not open. I have tried multiple resolutions and full screen and windowed and will not work. Is there any resolution to this problem because I am sure I am not the only Windows 8 user who is getting this problem.

There are a few Windows 8 users on this forum, that are able to run FlightGear. You may want to contact them directly (via pm or email) and ask if the did anything specific to run FlightGear.

Both these users do experience some issue, but at least they are able to run FlightGear:
