Error starting Fgrun

Postby JacquesD » Tue Jul 17, 2012 12:08 pm

I installed FlightGear 2.6.0 on Windows 7
After option selection in the FlightGear Wizard, and pressing the Start button, I get an error:

Possible options are:
--silent
--fg-exe=<pad>
--fg-root=<map>
...

The options used have been generated by the wizard:

I:\Program Files\FlightGear\bin\Win32\fgrun.exe
--fg-root=I:\Program Files\FlightGear\data
--fg-scenery=I:\Program Files\FlightGear\data\Scenery;I:\Program Files\FlightGear\scenery;I:\Program Files\FlightGear\terrasync
--airport=KSFO
--aircraft=c172p-2dpanel
--control=keyboard
--disable-random-objects
--prop:/sim/rendering/random-vegetation=false
--disable-specular-highlight
--disable-ai-models
--disable-real-weather-fetch
--geometry=1280x1024
--bpp=24

It seems these options are not accepted by Fgrun.

Please advise
Thanks

Welcome Jacques!

Go to the first page of FGRun (previous from aircraft selection) and set the FG_EXECUTABLE to I:\Program Files\FlightGear\bin\Win32\fgfs.exe. You have it set to fgrun.exe, which is just the launcher. fgfs.exe is the actual sim ;-)

Cheers,
Gijs

There's no point to start the launcher with the launcher
