All of the above. In particular the non-sterile cockpit, the attitude, and first landing at Paro with the hired familiar pilot in the jump seat.

I also noted that they seem to be "Children of the Magenta" in essence flying the aircraft with the heading and vertical speed knobs on the FCU panel, rather than hand flying the approach.

See also below video for one more version, and comments from a pilot, that while he have not flown to Paro have flown with Indonesian pilots (which never was any problems). Also, there are a couple really hard landings toward the end, filmed from the ground in other cases where other pilots lined up very late (hard enough to collapse the main landing gears).

wait, pilot is in right seat? i thought that was first officer's position... and the video seems to be from the 3rd person's seat but yeah, you can see the right seat phone cam videoing for whatever reason... i think main question is "who is in left seat controlling the craft if not the pilot?"
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

The pilot on the left seat is ranked Captain and the pilot in the right seat is ranked First Officer.
So yes, there should be a pilot in the left seat and the right seat.

Lots of room for confusion, both are of course pilots, but:

  1. Pilot Flying (PF) vs. Pilot Monitoring (PM) - These are terms for who does what at the moment.
  2. Captain vs. First officer - These are ranks in the airline, but are usually seated to the left and right respectively (at least in fixed wing aircraft).
  3. Senior pilot vs. junior pilot - These are a more vernacular variant of #2.
  4. Pilot vs. copilot - These are layman terms. Sometimes for #1, sometimes for #2.

Interesting incident at Charles de Gaulle in 2020, highlighting differing phraseology in US and Europe, and slightly different procedures, and why it is always good to look for approaching aircraft before entering a runway.
