Transaero is going down....

Postby berkut » Sun Oct 25, 2015 11:16 am

Earlier this month it was announced that a Russian carrier,Transaero is in a difficult financial situation. Later on ,all of their flights in Russia were canceled.

Now the whole story is a bit different.

More at the link:

BTW ,Transaero is the only Russian airline to order the Airbus A380 and a Boeing 747-8i. The future of those orders is uncertain .

Regards

That looks pretty grim. :(

oh.... how many orders did they make? sounds like a bummer, both to the country and the manufacturers involved.

Newest about this topic is that Transaero's routes are now taken over by no one else but Aeroflot, the airline that didn't want to buy Transaero's shares and save them from going down. Thanks to the current situation,Aeroflot will acquire 4 Boeing 747s to carry out those routes. Those planes could be ex-Transaero planes which makes the whole thing even more disgusting.

It's easy to see that Aeroflot simply wanted to see Transaero grounded and then to take it over for much less cash.... one word-unbelievable. :(

welcome to the real world of "big business capitalism"...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
