Stumbled upon this feature length documentary on Ericsson Incorporated's YouTube channel:

You are welcome. I thought you might like it. :)

Edit:

If you liked that, you re going to love this documentary about the Space Shuttle on NASAs YouTube channel. Those of you who are aware of how it got its name may understand the choice of narrator.

It is a bit of an emotional roller coaster, but it is all for the better.

NASA, The Space Shuttle (Narrated by William Shatner) (1 h 21 min, published July 5, 2011)

Another thing William Shatner have narrated that touches FlightGear is this pretty much historical/obsolete introduction to GRASS, which I guess some of the scenery developers may have heard of in one way or another, and likely think of as one of the back-ends/libraries in QGIS.

A gem for those interested in the McDonnell Douglas F-15C.

A series in five parts about the Saab 37 Viggen, particularly the AJ and AJS versions, done prior to the release of them for DCS. A good series that bring back echoes of the past.

Now we need an in-air engine starting procedure for the Cub in FlightGear too:

Found these to videos of what 1981 was state of the art simulator visuals then used by Rediffusion and Evans & Sutherland flight simulators.

Ultimate History of CGI, The Tactical Edge (1981) - First realistic polygonal plane flight animation (8 min, on YouTube February 14, 2018)

Rogleswil, Rediffusion Simulation (20 min, on YouTube oktober 4, 2014)

There is some interesting computer history trivia here. One of the founders, Ivan Sutherland, made Sketchpad, likely the first CAD program as a part of his PhD thesis. In the process he came to use techniques that decades later would be called object oriented programming. During his thesis he was supervised by on less than Claude Shannon that in his PhD thesis had suggested to use binary numbers and digital computers. Sketchpad would later be one of the sources for inspiration for Douglas Engelbart when his team worked on the oN-Line System (NLS). Many of his team would later wind up at Xerox PARC and influence the development of the Windows, Icons, Menus and Pointer (WIMP) GUI most desktop and laptop computers still use.

Test of the ballistic recovery parachute on Mike Patey's Scrappy (follow this link to jump to the actual test):

Mike Patey is also the guy that designed and built the Super Draco, a very beefed up Wilga 2000 (which actually is available in FGAddon as the Draco-Wilga :D ).

I have always found this aircraft to look... odd. Actually very odd. When I first saw pictures of it I thought they were Photoshopped. However, the design is in fact driven by needs and quite ingenious:

Roger Young, PL 11 Airtruck Documentary ZK BPV MP4 (28 min, published July 1, 2015)

There are some interesting additional notes by the uploader in the comment section.

Apparently the uploader is related neither to Geoff Young, who took over when Luigi Pellarini and Snow Bennett had left development, or Jeff (Jeffery) Young, they just all happened to have the same last name.

Here's a short documentary about a Lufthansa Boeing 747 being transported to my local airoprt Twente Airport (EHTW) for storage. What's interesting about it that it shows cockpit footage during the short hop that also includes landing at the uncontrolled airport which is a first for these pilots with such a large aircraft:
