Are you serious ?? Are you really eating the bandwidth of the FGCom server for diffusing music ????? Is it serious ???
Where have you read that FGCom is a music radio service ???

Anyway your IP adress has been blocked on the server, next time you will think twice at what you are doing.

Regards,
Clément

I had no idea that it is prohibited to use the software provided (FGcom 2.10) and an unused frequency ... If you were but my IP address is blocked on FGcom server without warning, so maybe it's not worth using FlightGear After ... year and a half on the multiplayer "good ending" ... But in any case, sorry for it and Bye

Are you seriously not shocked by what you are doing ??? Diffusing music on an FGCom server used for pilot/ATC communication make sense for you ?? really ????? you are seriously thinking that diffusing music is something expected on a software designed to make pilot/ATC communication as realistic as possible in a flight simulator ??
And this frequency is used, as proof here is the history of this frequency: http://fgcom.flightgear.org/details.php?p=0&freq=123500 ( 7 pages of history ! )

Anyway your answer doesn't matter, you are definitely banned from fgcom.flightgear.org

.... I'm really impressed how people in the world can be stupid :( I'm kindly providing a service for people who want to increase the realism of their flight simulator but some people are abusing this service... really sad !

PS: Sorry for all pilot/ATC who have been disturbed by the bandwidth consumption that this user has impacted to you because his music reduced the bandwidth of the server.

After all, I apologize for my behavior and I explained that I had no idea that it might bother someone. Most pilots usually goes on special frequency 122.75. At 123 500 I by the table during the entire itself. But well, I'm sorry So once. I did it in ignorance, that it would hurt. I thought it basically good, for example, when a pilot flies on a long journey, I thought that would appreciate the fact that you can play music at any frequency. Without FGcom probably does not make sense to continue to use FlightGear.

PS: Sorry for that I'm an idiot ...

I completely agree janrippl did wrong by consuming lots of expensive bandwidth with his unrequested "service". But banning him forever may be a bit too much given he has apologized and learned a lesson :)

Fun fact: I don't know about other countries, but 123.5 is maybe the busiest frequency in real life in Spain. It is "the standard frequency" for uncontrolled areas and small airports. For this reason, it is also abused in real life with lots of casual chatting.

Knowing janrippl's profile and attitude. I can confirm that he did it unintentionally .

He usually try to help FG in some ways, in fact he repaired to me a month of work with a corrupt Inkscape 25MB file of the IFR Symbols Set Based On Jeppesen that I made recently in order to help several projects. Furthermore I must to add that " I love you " janrippl . for that.

The truth is that jan is an example of real people that are trying to find a gap among the FG Galaxy, instead he should not be banned, as long as every day shows his interest in the project with honor and honesty.

To continue and to downplay the issue, it seems he is not the only DJ in FG, but the only one who pickups sessions on FGCom. LOL Disco.

Clément, please accept his apology, and let's dance.

Amicalement.

I agree, permanent ban is excessive, as long as he doesn't use the service for music anymore. janrippl, you know, it's really easy to setup your own streaming server on Linux and use that for your content.

Yes, I know (Icecast2). I was have my own radio and TV station. But this I tryed for pilots long time flights, not for abuse of Clements fgcomserver. I had good intentions. In any case, I starting today my own FGcom server.

What is this, trollbanning? It is pretty obvious this was unintentional.

No is not. I'm sure that Clément's target were just care about service-resource that he is providing, not to banned somebody of our human resources.

Well, it seems todays is a good day to fly.

Let's fly.
