any reason this should be like this
yesterday i whent to LFPG just to test it out again in an aircraft
but no joy nothing heard / no can hear me

the one thing i asked the guy operating LFPG ATC was what server he was on fgcom/deta384
but i never got an answer
i tried both but nothing

its the same in openradar
i open at antwerp and can contact atc at brussels no problem but no contact from aircraft
i would really like to get this working so any help is welcome

If it works "as stand alone" with freq 910 and with Open Radar but not with FGFS
then you probably miss the interface between FGFS and FGCOM:

Check in your FGFS-StartFile or in FGRUN -> Advance -> Input/Output that the interface
    --generic=socket,out,10,localhost,16661,udp,fgcom
is defined.

Also try to open FGFS and FGCOM on your screen so you can see both. Then try:
hit the PTT (PushToTalk == is usually the SpaceBar) --> You should see that the mic gets opend and closed

and/or switch freq in FGFS (PF12) for COM1 - that change should be visible in FGCOM

Hi

Thanks for the quick reply
Have it sorted at last
just done a flight into Schipol air space to run a test as ATC openradar was active
established contact both ways so thats fine
just need to fine tue the setting as flight gear sound was overpowering atc

i was wondering
if i was to buy a USB headset
would i be able to have flight gear sound on the normal speakers
and fgcom only on the USB ones i heard someone on X-Plane doing this

That depends on your sound-system, especially the sound-card.

But why would you want that? I have both on the headset - you know you can vary the sound-level independent for FGFS and FGCOM. And if you do not always want to wear the headset you can always add a LSP in parallel!
