cannot connect fgfs with atlas

Hi.. flightgear 3 is working great on my fedora 21, so is Atlas 0.3, both installed from provided RPM's.

However, they do not talk to each other. here are my command files, I tried various socket values for both, and Atlas appears to be oblivious as to where the airplane is.

Command for the fgfs:
LD_PRELOAD="libpthread.so.0 libGL.so.1" __GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS=0 \
optirun -b primus fgfs \
--nmea=socket,out,0.5,127.0.0.1,5500,udp \
--atlas=socket,out,5,localhost,5505,udp \
--fog-disable --aircraft=777-200 \
--enable-ai-models --enable-ai-traffic \
--timeofday=noon \
--airport=EDDF \
--callsign=turgut \
--enable-terrasync

Command for the atlas:
Atlas \
--fg-scenery="/usr/share/flightgear/Scenery:/home/turgut/.fgfs/TerraSync" \
--update=5 --autocentre-mode=y --fg-root=/usr/share/flightgear \
--udp=5505

PS: I even checked the firewall ports and opened up 5500-5505 udp.
Does anyone see anything wrong with the above?
Many thanks, -turgut
