I'm happy because I found a way to render my paints from Inkscape and Gimp through AC3D; I can get more painting done
and finish sooner :D

I'm happy because I yesterday had my first solo... in a car. :D Sorry guys, so far I don't even intend to get a PPL.

It was in a fenced in area during a mandatory four hour course, intended to safely give experience of hard breaking and obstacle evasion, on both dry and slippery surfaces. I'm hopefully not far from a drivers licence now. (All of Sweden gets at least some snow every winter, but the snow isn't half as dangerous as rain on freezing cold ground.)

Happy because...

I bought a toy airplane last fall (electric powered P-47 with retracts -- radio controlled.) But it snowed two days before the airplane arrived in the mail. Then the snow stayed all winter and it has only finally melted enough this week to get out to my RC flying club field. So I took a short "coffee break" this morning and went out there and did the maiden flight. And it flew great! I'm really happy with how it flies. The retractable landing gear are also really cool. This is my first model that had something like that and it's neat to come screaming by, clean and wheels up. It has 4-channel control so it's pretty capable of all the basic aerobatics and it has plenty of power to go vertical.

(I also brought out my little ducted fan MiG-15 and got in 3 nice flights on that.)

Ok, fun's over ... back to work. :-)

Curt.

I am happy because today, I got to sit in the cockpit of a fully restored, airworthy, F-86 Sabre. :D Ironically, there was a MiG-15 parked right behind me, with 37mm and all pointed right at my tail. Luckily for me, the MiG's internals were gutted for restoration, so I didn't get whooped.

I am happy because I just did my first bike ride of the season :D There is still about a foot of snow on the ground but at least the roads are dry. 8)

Gijs: "like"
439Tiger: As of about a week ago our roads and trails have finally dried out enough now to ride on. I've logged 66 miles on my bike now. Hopefully I can keep it going and log some good mileage over the next few months.
