Are there instrument panel lights

Postby wooly » Wed Mar 31, 2021 1:34 pm

I am quite new to Flightgear, i can now successfully take off. I am trying a night flight from my local airport in Southampton and was wondering if there are instrument lights or do i grope around in the dark. I am flying the Cessna 172P
Thanks for any help

Hi wooly, welcome

Yes, there are instrument lights. You can switch them ON by first switching the BATTERY ON and then use the cabin lights knob (it is the small knob left to the throttle)

You might wonder how you can identify these two switches (BATTERY and then LIGHTS) in the dark. Use a flashlight, of course! You can switch the flashlight on/off in menu: F10->C172p->flashlight
