My apology to FGFS

Postby Octal450 » Fri Apr 17, 2020 11:18 pm

Hello,
Much apologies from me for everything...

Probably everyone is wondering what is going on with me, I will try to explain... again...

- As many of you know, I have suffered from various medical conditions that put me in severe pain frequently. Since Novemeber 2017, it was almost constant with only brief periods of less pain.
- In August 2019, I was hospitalized multiple times after severe pain incidents and left without any answers for a long time, in fact, it took until January 2020 for me to begin to slowly feel better. Its still tough but I'm getting better.

So maybe you understand why I lost my patience with FG. But I guess you all know by now that I love programming it too much to leave. Now that I'm feeling better I started tinkering again - no promises but we'll see what happens.

Greetings and wishing everyone well.

Kind Regards,
Josh

I personally didn't know of this backround, so thanks for sharing.

From what I gather from around these parts, I believe you're very well known for your expertise in this area. I'd like to say it's nice to have you back. I'd love to work with you in future if possible!

Hi Josh,

I have complete understanding for your actions and I don't think you should apologise, as you're always completely free to decide whether you want to contribute to the project and you shouldn't force yourself into situations you don't like because of high expectations.

Thanks a lot for you work for FlightGear. Please take care of yourself and never let FlightGear take priority over your personal health and happiness.

Kind regards,

Isaak

I've been probably the first guy to see this happening via PM and I'm really happy that you have returned to FlightGear. It just didn't seem right to me that you left, the hole you left was too big in many aspects.
Again, whishing you get even better and have fun once again around here.
Regards, Mav

PS: Next time you happen to decide to quit (I hope not), PLEASE talk to me in PM first, and you know why, I always proved right on you missing this after leaving ;) .
