Work on Cliodhna 7 - the Troll Hoard has finally started. As you can see. we now can assemble a sufficient cast to really do tavern scenes :D Here's some impressions:

Bradach on a hunt - premiere day for the longbow we acquired on the medieval festival in summer (it's the real thing, 40 lb draw weight, punches the arrows 15 cm deep into the target  )

Actually, it was a pretty wet and miserable experience - pretty much the mood we hoped to capture though...

Enjoy our episode 7 teaser (now that we've done all of the outside scenes struggling for enough snow on the ground... who'd thought that'd be a problem in central Finland...)

Since the current assembly prohibitions don't allow us to have a real permiere day, we decided to do it online. So our 6th movie 'Beltaine King' will have premiere night on... Beltaine Eve (30th April, 6 pm Eastern European Time).

After the movie has been shown, we'll offer a live-stream where we'll talk a bit about making the movie and then have an opportunity to phone in and ask questions or offer comments.

As a special promotion. for this occasion we'll also show the full version (high resolution, including outtakes and subtitles in English, French, Russian and Finnish). We hope that our supporters will still consider buying a DVD since, well. there's quite some expenses in terms of costumes and such which we need to cover.

Here's the link (this is a YT premiere, i.e. the movie will only work when the time is reached).

Hope to see a few folks then!

And... 'Beltaine King' is now public - definitely our most involved movie yet...

Enjoy!

More than a year.

The process starts with writing a story, discussing it, putting it into a script, then costumes and other requisites have to be organized, the cast assembled - actual shooting of the major scenes happened last summer, then we had post-production well into winter (including making studio-recordings from the main actors, and assembling a voice-acting cast for the background) - partially in collaboration with our sound designer in Germany, so lots of files being moved back and forth, then the subtitles went out to the translators, more discussions of linguistic nature till these came back, all the while our illustrator made an art concept for the cover, then a DVD project had to be built...

So even having the workflow down and plenty of technical help, it gets more involved since we're improving technically (as well as artistically I'd say... )

Well yeah, getting quite a bit more technical if you ask me and a lot more people to manage. Great episode! I was so mad at myself for missing the live premier. I totally forgot about it. Really nice work, congratulations!

The timing must have been really awkward for you though... :D Admittedly it was rather Europe-friendly.
