FG 3D models used by OSM 3D renderer?

Postby karlos » Thu Aug 03, 2017 8:32 pm

It's great to see another project using OSM data. And even an own 3D renderer!
I just discovered your "repository" of 3D models and locations to use them.

Would you mind, if other 3D renderer for OSM would use this models to?
I would like to experiment using them (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_go)

Is there a documented URL-API, how to download the models?
The FlightGear Scenery Website can render them in WebGL.
I would like use this code to.

Flightgear is licensed under GPL 2+, that includes the models in the official terrain database as well as any models in the data repositories (but not every custom scenery from external sources, they might have their own licenses) - as long as you adhere to the terms of the license, you can use the models for any purpose you like.
