Can we make a New planet in FG, call it FlightGearium, and start a simulation colony on it?

i think it's possible, i've heard about 3d planets in FG time ago on this forum.

Hey, if so, a Mars or Venus modelling would be interesting. Like some sim did with a Mars-specific plane many years ago. (Was it X-plane?)

See psadro_gm's comments on using TerraGear for Mars/Moon - what would work is Thorsten's EarthView aproach (see the wiki for details). But that will not be too useful if you are hoping to actually touch down/take off
