PISA Programme for International Student Assessment

Postby Figaro » Thu Jul 26, 2012 10:52 am

So, at school today, one of the "School Directors" -cough- principles -cough- called me, and only me out of my Mathematics class. He informed me that I was one of 33 students from our school (a school with 4500 students) that had been selected to "represent" Australia in PISA. PISA is a tri-annual test where the results rank 70 different countries. There is only approx. 15000 students from Australia that have been selected.

My question is, has anyone else been selected for a PISA test (they began in 2000, this is the 4th edition) or is anyone "competing" in this one?

Cheers,
Sam.

Aah yes, I'm always befuddled by the two words. Curse the English language for having so many "double" words.

Cheers,
Sam.
