Jabiru J160 or J170 aircraft

Postby Warwick » Fri Jul 23, 2021 6:18 am

I fly a real Jabiru J160 and use flightgear, with New Zealand scenery ,to keep my hand in when the weather is not flyable.
Has anyone know of a J160 or J170 aircraft for flightgear 2020.3.9 ?

Thanks.
I use at present the Tecnam P92 which is very similar.
The main difference is that IAS is in Km/h rather than knots.
How can I change this?
If this is possible, can I change flap and stall speeds in the same place???
Have a great day

Answered in your other topic. Please only ask questions in one place and keep topics on their original topic, starting a new one for different ideas/questions :)

I'd be interested in starting development on the J170 (yeah yeah I know, I start way too many aircraft, stone me :D), in case Jabiru gives their permission and if you could help by supplying photos for reference and textures, maybe as well as flight experiences :) All this of course using FG's main license, the GNU GPL v2+ (https://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licens ... .0.en.html)

Thanks for your reply.
Anything you need regarding the J160 I am willing to supply from photos, POM (PDF) I can email you, plus basic flight settings etc.
The difference between J160 and J170 is that a J170 has a longer wing span for the USA,
J160's are more common.
Happy to help, I will let you know how I get on with altering the Tecnam.
