+1!
There are free alternatives to every program you encounter. You just have to find them.

The preview for the fourth episode 'The Fairy Ring' is now online - we were fortunate enough to work with actors from the local theater for the 'fairy enchantment' scenes, which really makes things come alive.

We plan to publish this next spring, we just have to record the material now, but post-processing will wait till 'Storm Crag' is out.

Enjoy!

Currently working on our otherworld/astral projection visuals:

It's, frankly, amazing what one can do at home these days. That's a scale model of a stone circle, several bluescreens, up to five video streams with multiple filters merged (the software frequently hangs under the stress...) - but in the end we seem to be getting there.

If you're searching for more music: For my own work I needed some music with a very relaxed license and came across this musician who publishes everything under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License:

Most of what he offers reminded me of your project.

Erik

BTW: Here's what my software makes of his song Faith:

Everything in my version is done using math: Sinues and noise, and filters and effects.

Getting more professional - we now make use of the ability to record sounds we need in professional quality

Found a new archive containing CC-BY-3.0 music of all kinds. No MIDI this time (Which I needed) but some useful stuff is available there:

That one I've known.

Also Silverman Sound Studios has a nice collection (which we have now used) - and Free Music Archive is the biggest, though not very well sorted.
