Zexe, keep the "Jetway Editor" disabled unless you really want to add Jetways to the scenery. I guess you have accidentally enabled the editor via the menu: AI => Jetway Settings => Jetway Editor. Needs to be OFF for normal flight operations.

Can´t you pull a 2.4 label version from GIT and build this?

Cool, hurry to update...ahmm I've already 2.5

Thanks to all developers!

Sure Linux is a minority of which ~90% build git with: http://wiki.flightgear.org/Scripted_Compilation_on_Linux_Debian/Ubuntu and most of the rest use
distribution specific fgfs, but it would be nice to see a Linux version for download and DVD as well.

Yeah, I used the script in the beginning but it stopped working now. Now, I've cloned simgear and flightgear, and now onto fgdata but it keeps getting stuck at 627.2 MB for some reason.. It's thrice now!

Great work guys! it works like a charm, exempt for the b1900d, i get 5 fps with that but that isn't a problem for me because I never fly that plane ;)

Btw, Today it is the 18th, but the 2.4 aircraft download page still isn't there...

You can use the GIT aircraft with 2.4, no problem, so far...

The v2.4 aircraft download page is now posted! I can't say for sure if all the mirror sites are fully synced so if you get a 404 type (not found) error, try one of the other mirrors (you get 3 randomly selected mirror links for each aircraft.) If you have really bad luck, try refreshing the page to get a new set of random mirrors to try.

We have 376 aircraft now!!! Almost 100 more than the v2.0 release, and of course many of the existing aircraft have been improved. This page doesn't include the many aircraft hangars that are independently managed.

OK, but where are different HUD options with fighter planes (for ex. F-16 with only it's generic HUD now, and in 2.0 i was able to cycle HUD views thru 3 different HUDs) ? ? ? ? ? :(

A deb package will be a nice addition for sure. GIT is a little pain to use and Ubuntu package system is just so easy to use for non-power user, like me...
I could be a good publicity for GNU/Linux instead of proposing only Windows and Mac OS (both proprietary) installer.
My 2 cents..

@Oliver

or at least get in contact with playdeb (don't think they charge for their services). They did a pretty good job with the new release of supertuxkart.

It would be good to separate the good planes from the bad ones, rather than putting all planes on a heap. Or rather, to have only planes on the download page that have a working 3d-cockpit incl instruments, a decent fdm, fuselage without holes/seethrough and working autopilot where applicable. In other words: airplanes with a virtual certificate of airworthiness! Therefore, people who are new to FG dont have to wade through a bunch of barely working planes, like I had

those who want to use experimental airplanes can come to the forum and download them.
Do you fly a lot in Europe? Have a look at European Virtual Airlines
Or do you fly all over the planet? Then have a look at Atlas Virtual Airlines
