Thanks, Curt.
By Tom and Ryan's recommendation, I'm installing this as I type.
Thanks for this, again!
Look for "B-BIRD" "N127KY" or "AVA0004" -that's me.

Hold up, Curt... to add additional aircraft, do I download the 2.0 version or GIT version of the aircraft?

The Git version. I have instructions (somewhere) on how to do this without using Git.

Hello! :)

I have a strange error with FG (the last snapshot) I install it, and i run it, and...

Image

This is with all the planes, and all the airports. This is my computer.

-Windows XP PRO, SP3
-Mobile DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo T7250, 2133 MHz (11 x 194)
-Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family (384 MB)
-2GB RAM

I think that graphics card is the problem.
I Don´t know where we will take all of this, but I assure you it will be fun. (Orville Wright, 1903).

Have you tried disabling shaders in the View > Rendering options dialog?
Also, any output in the console?

Just a question: There are a reason to set "<use-custom-scenery-data>false<..." by default?
I mean, it's annoying to exaplin to all people who install "UFO made" sceneries that they need to modify an xml...

Gonna try the latest one. I hope this works as expected. Suddenly, FG decides it won't launch with most of my aircraft, saying it couldn't find the specified aircraft. I can't see why this is happening, however.

THANK YOU CURT, for having the initiative to make something like this because I honestly didn't want to tamper around with the GIT servers or whatever so this is like the holy grail for me!!! :D :D :D

I just want to have the right idea about these builds, so they are for average FG users like me who don't want to tamper around with GIT. These are all just like the official FG executable files that you find in the download section on the official FG website aren't they?

Also, that latest build, that is based on the newest available update to FG 2.2 available from the GIT severs isn't it but in the form of a precompiled binary so we don't have to pretty much do anything except click the Next button a couple of times and click install (like redneck pointed out in the first page of this post)?

I have really been wanting for forever (not really for ever but just trying to put some emphasis), to try FG 2.2 out but as I said above, I didn't want to tamper around with GIT, install extra software, etc.

Thanks in advance to any replies!

Any additional info would be very helpful!

So again, this is really helpful to FG users like me!

:D :D

Basically: Yup. Download the snapshot release, install like any other program (click next, next, next, etc.) and it's ready to run. You can install it next to the v2.0 release so you can have both on your system at the same time and even share scenery.

Of course the official answer has to come from Curt, but my unofficial answer to you is: Yes! I'm also an average user with no interest in tampering around with GIT, and these snapshots are ideal for me. Of course there are bugs in the software (afterall, these are beta versions, not stable versions) but they never stop me from having an excellent experience wiht FG. I'm using the latest snapshot for multiplayer as well as VATSIM flights right now.
I'm using FlightGear Git version on a Win 7 machine with an onboard ATI graphic card and 3 GB of RAM.
