Wake Turbulence

I was very interested to read that AI aircraft can create turbulence.

I'm quite interested in this feature and wondered if there was more regarding it's use in Multiplayer as I would like to do some two aircraft simulations and having wake turbulence would make that much more useful.

I know there are ways to control multiple aircraft but they are really multiplayer based solutions not AI aircraft control. https://github.com/christosci/OpenTargetGenerator

But apparently AI objects can be scripted using the property tree(UDP)?

Does anyone have any experience here?

Edited to add.
The aerial refuelling page specifies it does not include wake turbulence but is this now out of date?

As far as I know currently only AI traffic provide wake turbulence, and only to JSBSIM aircraft that implement it as a force affecting the aircraft. Given the tanker is a scripted (via Nasal) object rather than using the AI traffic mechanism it doesn't have wake turbulence.

Hmm, theres an email thread in fg-devel from Bertrand (the AI wake & JSB author) on May 7 2017 saying there's code for this to support YASim as well, but I'm not sure it was merged, in fact it doesn't look like it :(

I might have a look at it :)
