It once again hit the budget limit and was automatically shut down. *)
I am working on an update to reduce the amount of traffic exchanged between the web client and the backend server.
If everything works well, it should be back soon.

*) mpmap03 runs on payed AWS resources under my private account. I try not getting ruined by excessive usage and hence limited the amount of money this service may cost me.
Hint: Once it is back online, you may notice the "Donate" buttons in the "About" section.

OK thanks Torsten, I was unaware you run it at your own cost, I don't blame you for the limitations you have set on it! Please keep up your tireless work, On everything you do to keep Flightgear free to the end user! Thanks

Hi Clive,

You can use http://mpmap.fgprc.org as an alternative. It's up now.

It runs an older version of mpmap.js. Due to some reason, I replaced the OSM by tianditu and the default language is Chinese, but you can still switch to English Tianditu or Bing map.

Best regards,
Sidi

FWIW, I am testing my latest code at
http://mpmap-mpmap.1d35.starter-us-east ... tapps.com/
which is hosted in a free plan at OpenShift.
It has some up-time limitations and it builds on every commit to the source git repo.
Feel free to use it but it comes without any support :-)
