Okay, as you wanted us to give some ideas and use cases, I'll start straightaway with this.
- Dual Control can be very useful for flight training, e.g. the instructor uses the copilot to instruct and observe the pilot flying.
- Also very nice could be team working... While the actual pilot flying has control over the aircraft, the pilot not flying (copilot) programs the route manager, the autopilot, and communicates with the ATC. Especially in critical situations, e.g. a go-around at a busy airport, communicating, programming the systems, and watching out for traffic could be very difficult for one pilot. (Believe it or not, its that specific reason for having copilots in real planes...
)
So that would be my main ideas for the use of the dual control feature
