The --timeofday=noon command option is ignored in 2016.1.1

Postby Soi » Fri May 13, 2016 2:51 am

Hi,
I have a program to launch FlightGear programmatically with command line options:
--timeofday=noon --multiplay=out,1,localhost,5000 --multiplay=in,1,localhost,5001
It works in FlightGear 3.2 but not in 2016.1.1
If the --multiplay options are removed then it works as expected.

Is it a known bug?

Below is the error displayed in the Nasal Console:
Nasal runtime error: container index not scala

You will more likely get a response if you either report the bug to the bug tracker at FlightGear on SourceForge or to the developer mailing list.

Note that both will require registration, but that the mailing list of course would result in some mail.

this has probably also been fixed in 2016.2... it is working properly in my 2016.3.0 (after converting my --launcher settings to the old .fgfsrc format) and may have been related to the refactoring that lead to (in the --launcher) setting the season to winter not working properly...

"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Are those the only commands you are passing to fgfs - so you're not picking an airport/airplane or anything?

@pinto: Yes, --timeofday is a command option to fgfs and no airport is specified.

I will create a bug ticket if it confirmed by others that it is a bug.

@Soi: 2016.2 is out and 2016.3.0 (the current development version) does not exhibit the problem... at least not that i can see... i'm on the east coast of the US and if i choose an airport that is currently in the middle of the night, the sim loads up with it set to noon and a full bright sun shining through any clouds that may exist...
