SquawkGear ( Vatsim on Flighgear )

Postby KIWI34 » Sun Jan 31, 2016 12:20 pm

hello all, I've browsed the forums and wiki about Vatsim and FG and came across Squawkgear.

Has anyone ever properly installed, run and used Squawkgear to connect to Vatsim? and if so how hard is it to set up?

Any help is much appreciated :)

Thanks

Yes!
Unfortunately, the voice part is buggy, the client is old, and anyway, ever seen a 744 flying at 100 knots?
Thus, it , may be best to (I hate to say this) purchase FSX Steam at $25 to use Vatsim more enjoyably.

5. Dollars. How did I miss that.

I don't think I'd pay 25, but 5....

Flying an Airliner on VATSIM using squawkgear works without any problems. Most VATSIM planes are Airliners, so there are no big troubles. Please see the wiki for details. Also AVC works fine if set up properly. Let me know, if you have some troubles.

I am on Win7, FG 3.5, installed properly and using it regularly without problems. Same do some other FG users I know.
