Multiple multiplayer aircraft set up ( fly 2 planes )

Postby KIWI34 » Tue Nov 24, 2015 1:18 pm

I was wondering how to run two separate aircraft on the same server at the same time.

This will allow me to run my codeshare flight, or to practice formation flying while one is on A/P

I currently use 3.4 for Mac and there is no way to configure the ports in settings

Any help will be much appreciated

Cheers

Can you not use the command line options: (don't know if this a current version of the mac launcher, but a nice guide is here: http://macflightgear.sourceforge.net/ho ... ers-guide/)

From the manual:
Code: Select all
--multiplay=out,10,<server>,<portnumber>
--multiplay=in,10,<client>,<portnumber>
--callsign=<anything>

Where

<portnumber> is the TCP port number of the server e.g. 5000.
<server> is the name of the multiplayer server e.g. mpserver01.flightgear.org.
<client> is the name of your computer, or the IP address ip address of the network interface being used by FG to connect to the server - even if that’s a local 192.168 type address. e.g. 192.168.0.1
<callsign> is the call sign to identify yourself, up to 7 characters, e.g. N-FGFS.

So just specify two different portnumbers for the 'in' command, depending on which aircraft you connect with, if its from the same computer.
