The domain holder is notified but he is too busy to make changes.

sounds like someone may be running into "end of the month bandwidth usage exceeded" blues... but 502 is generally a gateway error so load balancing and possibly still traffic flow problems...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I cured the issue by setting server to Hazuki's "clan.ml" I could then see my plane on the tracker

Sorry It's my turn now busying with real life. So, here is the later update regarding FGTracker and MPSERVER15 for you guys

1. "mpserver15.flightgear.org"
- Just discovered that “mpserver15.flightgear.org" is re-directed to FlightGear home page. Apparently, my DNS A/CNAME record change is ignored. In this regard, I myself officially declaring I am not gonna to step in DNS matter anymore.

2. FGMS (multiplayer server)
- I am still keeping one multiplayer server instance in clan.ml which was supposed an alias of multiplayer server "mpserver15.flightgear.org". As "mpserver15.flightgear.org" will never back under my maintenance, I am considering to stop maintaining FGMS. The impact should be minimal as multiplayer dialog in FGFS (i.e. the game itself) never has FGMS selection outside domain “mpserverXX.flightgear.org”. Players are required to have knowledge the existence of clan.ml and that they have to manually key-in the domain in order to connect to Multiplayer network.
<Please give active opinion. If no justified objection I will shut down FGMS before September 2018>
See post below

3. Real life
- I am busying with real life matters so please expect FGTracker will not be well maintained. I will try my best to squeeze time AT WEEKEND to keep it up. Therefore, in case FGTracker is down, the down time may be as long as TWO WEEKS. However, as usual, your flights will still be tracked and recorded during FGTracker downtime (if you have connected to Tracked FGMS), as FGMS is the party who responsible to assure the tracking, not FGTracker.

The MPSERVER15.flightgear.org DNS record has been updated to point at the IP currently returned by clan.ml.

I do not speak for the Flightgear project or team, only for myself.
I speak only for myself.

Further to the help from drR0ckso, multiplayer server MPSERVER15.flightgear.org will continue to service until further notice.

I can't register.
The callsign registration is not working. It says that it will be sent in 3 days, but it has not happened

Re: Data Purging on 2018.09.01

Postby Hazuki » Sun Sep 02, 2018 9:44 am

Hazuki wrote in Wed May 02, 2018 5:17 am:It has been over 1.5 years since callsign registration was required for flight tracking, and I do think it is about time to purge data which the owners don't care in order to save resources (Disk space, bandwidth and computing power etc.). In this regard, a data purging program is launched as follows:

1. All data which the callsign has no registration record will be purged on or after 2018.09.01. Obviously only records created before 2016.11.15 will be affected.

2. Data owner who wish to retain their data, either they are required to download their data through API before 2018.09.01, or register their callsign before 2018.09.01.

3. If any player recognize former notable player(s) and wish to retain their flight data, please feel free to contact me via PM on FlightGear Forum. Sufficient evidence (excluding total flight time in FGTracker) must be provided to prove that the player was famous. Discretion on such data purging exclusion lies with me, the FGTracker owner.

The above program is started. Any data which associated callsign is not "Activated" (i.e. Registration status not equal to "Activated") will be removed at any time.

FGTracker is facing Hardware instability issue (likely SCSI card or power issue). Server may run weird with unpredictable symptoms until detailed diagnoses scheduled on coming Sunday. Unfortunately with immediate effect, data integrity on FGTracker is not guaranteed and data may loss.
